Cepeda Systems & Software Analysis, Inc. (CSSA) was formed as a corporation in 2001 and is a woman-owned, small, disadvantaged, 8(a) business located in Madison, Alabama. CSSA core competencies are Performance-based Systems and Software Engineering, and Process Improvement.

Our Performance-based Systems and Software Engineering services span all phases of the system and software life cycle, from requirements development to fielding and maintenance and include systems engineering, software engineering, and Independent Verification and Validation activities. Our Process Improvement services help organizations remove waste and improve the quality of products and services by focusing on the major problem areas. As one of the authors of the Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI®) and the Standard CMMI® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPIsm) and an SEI Partner for CMMI and SCAMPI, our company is uniquely qualified to help organizations improve their infrastructure and their processes.

(CSSA), a Software Engineering Institute Partner, is providing a public course offering in Huntsville, AL on TBD of the SEI's Introduction to Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) v1.2. CSSA will also be offering the 1-day Services Supplement for CMMI v1.2 course on TBD. These courses are hosted by Analytical Services, Inc. (ASI) at their Corporate Headquarters location. Introduction to CMMI v1.2 - This three-day course introduces participants to CMMI and its fundamental concepts. CMMI models are tools that help organizations improve their ability to develop, acquire and maintain quality products and services. Introduction to CMMI helps prepare participants to make valid judgments regarding an organization's implementation of the process areas. The course is helpful in identifying issues that should be addressed in performing process improvement as structured by the CMMI model. For additional information on this course, please click here.

The registration fee of $1,450 includes the CMMI v1.2 model, a course notebook, morning and afternoon refreshments, and a hot breakfast and lunch each day.

Services Supplement for CMMI v1.2 - This one-day course introduces participants to the CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) model and to fundamental concepts related to service delivery. CMMI-SVC defines effective practices that ensure quality services are delivered to customers and end users. Domains that would benefit from using CMMI-SVC include operations, logistics, maintenance, IT, engineering, program management, and many other services in government and industry.

The 3-day SEI Introduction to CMMI class is a pre-requisite for the 1-day CMMI for Services class.

The registration fee of $500 includes the CMMI for Services model, a course notebook, morning and afternoon refreshments, and a hot breakfast and lunch.

These courses fulfill a prerequisite requirement for any course requiring an official SEI Introductory CMMI course or CMMI for Services Introductory course, respectively, and are a prerequisite for being a lead appraiser, team leader, or team member on a SCAMPIsm appraisal using the CMMI-DEV or CMMI-SVC models.
